BOOK CLUBS Latest update: October 18 , 2008 We have two active book clubs, and new folks are welcome at one of them. For all highlighted names, you can click on the name to send an email to find out about future meetings. We also try to list here occasional "book club type" events like book signings of interest to MHC alumnae. Peninsula book group (San Jose to Belmont area) This group always welcomes more members, and MHC alumnae are welcome to attend any discussion without committing to regular participation. Please bring a dessert or appetizer, and RSVP to the hostess or Jerri Barrett at 408-249-7001. Our next meeting is on Sunday, October 26th, 2 – 4 P.M. Jerri Barrett is hosting this meeting at her house: 4073 Payne Avenue, San Jose, CA 95117. The book selection is Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. There will be a book swap/book share at the meeting as well. Bring a bag of books that you want to get rid of and we can all pile them up and swap them around; any unclaimed will be taken to the local library.
